When I follow the’ -un-install mechanic it refuses me saying it is still running, and when I turn the running program off, it still refuses me.
Can you help me,…please be simple about it…I’m an pensioner

simon and soupfine are correct, registry “boosters” and cleaners do FAR more harm than good. This is a typical newbie mistake that they read some spam on forums or listen to people with no degree, certifications or experience in industry like yahoo QA that a “registry booster” is some magic cure all.

Using an automated program like that prevents a REAL, experienced tech from being able to undo what the automated program did.

Your registry does not NEED to be cleaned. And IF you do use one, do NOT use more than one. More is NOT better! OF the free registry cleaners, I think ccleaner is the LEAST potentially harmful. But use it rarely, only when needed, and back up any change you make.

I having been having computer problems for over a month I am hoping I am getting close to it being fixed. I thought last night I was getting there, but it doesn’t seem to be fixed, because I am still getting error messages just different kinds now.

My computer kept sending up error messages almost every time I would try to open a new window. I finally purchased Spyware Doctor with Anti Virus protection last night. I searched reviews for a while before finally going with that one so I hope I made a good choice. I’ve been wrong before and I am sure it won’t be the last time either. I ran Spy Doctor and it cleaned out a ton of stuff viruses, malware and maybe more things too. Most said it was a low threat only two seems to be higher.

My question now is what, do I do with all these other virus protection things I have on my computer? Am I supposed to delete them or turn them off? I don’t know anything about this kind of thing I’ve been trying to learn, but it’s so hard to know what’s right or wrong and it’s scary to touch the wrong thing.

I had a great friend that I knew since we were around 12. We grew up together and stayed friends for years. He would always come check up on my computer for me just, to be sweet. He was really the only person I ever trusted with it. It’s been hard, because we lost contact after Hurricane Katrina, I don’t know if he moved or died, I pray he moved. I need a new computer genius friend I really miss him and so does my computer.

I have a program named Easy Uninstaller 1.0 and I am looking at all the things I have on my computer and I would love to know what I could get rid of. Is there a site or place I can go and it will tell me what is good and what isn’t?

Ok well, I’ve had this problem for several months now, but it’s been coming and going. I’d get it checked out but just no time.

My laptop has been crashing and getting the Blue Screen Of Death errors. Mostly when I use big programs or games. Yet occasionally it’ll just randomly crash or get a BSOD.

I’ve used these programs to help.

DriverGenius – To check for driver updates.
Registry Mechanic – To clean my registry.
CCleaner – To Clean my registry.
Spybot Search And Destroy
Malware Bytes
AVG 2011.

Checked my drivers for updates. I don’t install any new software. Clean my registry every bloody time I get a BSOD or it crashes.. which is everytime I like use my laptop.
Checked for viruses.

Do this everytime I use my laptop.

WHY DOES IT KEEP CRASHING AND GETTING BSOD’S?
***I also tried doing that thing thats wipes your computer clean. Everything was gone, like it was a new computer. But still same old problems, Crashing and BSODS.***

I have read serveral mixed reviews online, some saying its a scam, some saying its great. I don’t need it for viruses, malware etc, I just need it for the registry errors and other issues. I found it on the dell offical website, which leads me to belive it is legitimate. Is it good?

I’ve recently purchased a one-year registration for the “Registry Mechanic” registry fix software, and I bought licenses for up to three computers. My problem now is that I can’t figure out how to get the program on the other two. I have the product key, but the prompt when I download the software on the other machines asks for a much shorter code.

If anyone has any ideas on this, I would appreciate it!
